After years of preparation and fundraising by the brothers and alumni, in August of 2009, we, the Alpha Rho chapter, will have the privilege of officially opening our new chapter house. The grand opening ceremony will be held during Georgia Tech Homecoming Weekend October 15-17, 2009.
The $3.2 million house was designed by Alpha Rho alum Gene Surber.
Our chapter is immensely proud of the new house and all the amenities it affords us. The Chapter room is truly a place for brothers to gather and socialize. The rooms are a great improvement with each having its own bathroom, furniture, and dual HDTV and ethernet hookups.
It also features 2 study rooms, a conference room, laundry facilities, finished basement, central heating/air, wi-fi throughout, a full kitchen, HD projection screen with theater seating, and a two-story side porch. It is also the first LEED-Silver certified "green" fraternity house in the nation.
Our chapter would like to invite any brother passing through the Atlanta area to stop by and see the house.
